Lead Pastor’s Welcome

I have had the privilege of serving in Christian ministry for over 30 years, walking alongside people of all ages as they grow in faith and discipleship. Over that time, I have seen the transforming power of the gospel in individuals, families, and communities, and it continues to shape both my ministry and my own walk with Christ.

Although I initially trained as a computer engineer, I sensed God redirecting my path toward working with people. What began as a calling into youth ministry steadily developed into a broader responsibility of pastoral leadership and shepherding the whole church. Those early years laid a strong foundation for my passion to see people nurtured, equipped, and encouraged in their faith.

Prior to training for accredited Baptist ministry at Regent’s Park College, Oxford, I served in a number of churches in a variety of roles, gaining valuable experience in teaching, pastoral care, and leadership. In 2015, I accepted the call to pastor Bourne Baptist Church, and in 2018 I became Lead Pastor. It is a privilege to oversee the life and vision of the church, to work alongside a committed staff team, and to serve a church family that seeks to make a positive impact in the community.

I am deeply committed to being gospel-centred, holding together Word and Spirit, and helping people apply Scripture in meaningful and practical ways to everyday life. I seek to lead with a servant heart, valuing authenticity, humility, and integrity, and I find great joy in seeing people grow, develop their gifts, and flourish in Christ.

I am married with three grown-up children, and family life is a great blessing to me. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, walking our dog Fern, watching films, and spending time on the North Norfolk coast, which I find both restful and inspiring.
